V’s turbocharged s2000 is the perfect blend of both street car and drag car. Our client wanted a set-up that allowed it to be a daily driven application while also being able to be fully capable of running low 10’s on the quarter mile. Our client also wanted a fuel system that could handle upwards of 750rwhp while also giving the flexibility of running e85 when available.
Meticulous detail was taken with this build starting with the engine. All engine components were sandblasted which restored the OEM look to all engine components. In order to accommodate both 93 octane, 116 octane, and e85 the fuel system was completely redesigned. The Full-Blown dual pump hangar was used and non-permeable Teflon lined braided lines were used from the fuel tank to the engine bay. All wiring on this vehicle was tucked, re-routed, and protected in order to prevent heat damage and also give the cleanest look possible. As with all of our wiring, all wires were soldered together, protected with heat shrink, and loomed with protective braid. Bay harnesses and many electronics were relocated inside of the passenger side fender.
The turbocharger kit was entirely custom and fabricated and installed in-house. In order to deter heat damage, AV Tuning & Development used DEI FireWrap 3000, DEI Titanium Exhaust wrap, & Turbine DEI Titanium blanket to protect the many components located inside of the engine bay and exhaust system components.
On pump gas, the engine was tuned at 545whp/410tq @ 19.5psi. With the addition of c16 fuel we managed to make a very impressive 703whp/550tq @ 29psi.
