Anthony Verma’s passion for cars stemmed in his mid-high school days when he first was introduced to car stereo’s back in 1996. 3 years later he was introduced into the quickly growing ‘import scene’ in which his hobby and passion for speed rapidly branched out in many directions.

While attending Clemson University for Mechanical Engineering, Anthony studied such core courses such as Engineering Mechanics (structural mechanics-statics/dynamics/Strengths of Materials), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and also participated with the FSAE team where he helped out with the tuning of the Motec EMS system. By learning the dynamics of internal combustion engines through Clemson University, his interest, love, and respect for the world of high performance engines grew even more rapidly.

After years of working on his own 500whp import, word passed around quickly about his knack for internal combustion engine building, engine tuning capabilities, knowledge about turbo’s, and educational background. Instead of pursuing a “regular job” after college, Anthony decided to incorporate his college level education with his love of cars and start AV Tuning & Development LLC.
