AV Tuning & Development’s Turbo S2000 – 502whp/362tq at 17psi

Our shop s2000 has been upgraded once again and set-up with the AEM V2 boost control.  This set-up features our AV Stage 1 stroked F20c engine.  2.2L 9.6:1 Mahle Pistons, Carrillo Rods, ACL bearings, and Pro series Skunk2 valve-train.  The turbo kit has been fabricated in-house and features the Precision 6262SP CEA turbocharger with the newest CEA turbine wheel, PTE 46mm wastegate, PTE 800whp Intercooler, Tial 50mm BOV, 3″ downpipe, and 3″ exhaust.  Fuel supply has been seriously beefed up so this set-up can handle 650whp on e85.  The system features the Full Blown dual pump hanger, twin Walbro in-tank fuel pumps, -6an Feed/Return Braided Teflon fuel lines, Weldon HP Fuel Pressure Regulator, AEM Fuel Rail, and Injector Dynamics ID2000 injectors.

Preliminary tuning with just the wastegate spring yielded 454whp/290tq at only 13psi and 8300rpm’s.  With the addition of the AEM integrated boost controller, we were able to pick up close to 60whp mid range power with the identical peak boost pressure.

After we were able to create a nice linear boost plot, we then increased the boost pressure to roughly 17psi for the AEM high boost setting.  This  set-up was built to handle 500whp on 93 octane (pump gas) and we easily achieved this.  At 17psi this set-up is making 502whp/362tq.  Unfortunately we had a bit of tach pick-up interference which is why the torque values are erratic on the below dyno chart.

We have a few minor changes to make with the set-up prior to the e85 dyno tune.  On e85 we are expecting to see power values in excess of 650whp.  Stay tuned for more information to come!
