As many of you know, the MazdaSpeed3 is very poorly set-up from the factory. After 5000 rpm’s the engine literally hits a wall and the power drops off significantly. Thanks to company’s like Cobb Tuning, we are able to substantially increase the power gains of even a bone stock MazdaSpeed3 with no problems.
This set-up features the Cobb Front Mount Intercooler Kit, Cobb Blow Off Valve, Cobb Turbo Inlet Hose, Injen Cold Air Intake, Cobb 3″ Downpipe (True 3″ down pipe modified by AV), HKS 3″ exhaust, and Cobb AccessPort. We managed to pick up 60whp midrange, 40whp peak, and over 130whp after 5500rpms with tuning the Cobb AccessPort! Unfortunately, we were limited to 15-16psi of boost pressure due to the crank driven fuel pump (CDFP) pressures dropping below 1200psi. With the addition of a CP-E CDFP we expect to see this set-up to easily hit 300whp around 20psi of boost.
RunFile_002 – Stock @15psi RunFile_005 – Tuned with upgrades at 15.5psi
RunFile_005 – 260hp/284tq at 14psi
*Boost pressure reduced due to CDFP pressures dropping
