This turbo TC features a Greddy 20G turbocharger, 2.5″ DP/3″ Exhaust, Tial 38mm wastegate, custom AV fabricated 2.75″ intake system (aluminum), AEM F/IC with plug and play harness, RC 650cc injectors, TurboXS manual boost controller, and bone stock engine.
Issues we had with this application were linked to the boost controller as well as the fuel pump. We were not able to hold a linear boost plot which yielded a 14psi peak (4000rpm) which dropped to 11psi by redline (6500rpm) only producing 286whp/297tq. Our client will be replacing this manual boost controller with an electronic controller that will be fully programmable in order to obtain the linear boost plot that we always aim for. Our client also was under the assumption that a Walbro 255hp fuel pump was installed which turned out not to be true since fuel pressures started to drop above 14psi which ended up with lean air fuel readings. Once this set-up is upgraded with an adequate boost controller and an authentic Walbro 255hp pump we expect to see numbers around the 320whp/340tq marker tuned via the AEM FIC unit.
